Independence Day Celebration

We spent the holiday with free babysitting (thanks, Mindy!) and a date to Pirates of the Caribbean. The movie was great and the date was even better. I'm pretty sure we missed something at the end of the credits because we were the only ones to jump out of our seats and by the time we walked to our car, nobody else was out of the theater. Brendon said, "I'm just thinking about buddy."

The evening was spent with my family and the neighbors. It ended up being a reunion of all our neighbors who are now married with children and it was fun to see everyone. Henry was a trooper through the long night and enjoyed watching fireworks.

A few days later, our neighborhood hosted a party with a bbq, cotton candy, snow cones, musical entertainment, a parade, and fireworks. This party marks a full year of us being in our apartment. It was one of our first outings after moving in. Time flies. Henry was too little to enjoy all the treats last year, but we made sure he made up for it this year.

How fun. I wish we had a little block party in our neighborhood. Looks like Henry really enjoyed all that sugar :)
