Sunday Dinner

We attend church from 1 PM to 4 PM every Sunday. Since nap time is noon to 3 PM every other day of the week, Henry gets a little thrown off his schedule. We get to eat dinner every Sunday at my parents, but this particular Sunday Henry just couldn't take it any longer.

Poor kid. He gets a lot of extra sleep on Monday to make up for the sleep-deprived Sundays.

Maggie, on the other hand, sleeps all the time no matter where she is. She was quite happy this particular Sunday.

She has been giving us a lot of smiles these days, and we can't get enough of them. Oh, I just love that face!

Grandpa & Grandma Holmes

We were able to see Grandpa & Grandma Holmes last weekend. Oh, we just love when we get to see them. Henry adores all of his grandparents & I love watching him love them.

Henry loved spending the weekend with Grandpa in the house. Henry watched movies on his lap while making sure to touch Grandpa's face or keeping his arm around his neck. Grandpa was dragged anywhere Henry requested. Henry loved having a grandpa around 24/7. I'm pretty sure that is Henry's heaven: grandparents around all day, everyday.

We spent as much together time with Grandma as possible with her limited time due to a cruise. She loves playing with Henry & makes him laugh & laugh & laugh. Henry wanted to chase her around the couch the majority of the time & she was a good sport to chase him.

Maggie was able to meet Grandma & Grandpa for the first time. She enjoyed sleeping in their arms & getting lots of kisses.

 
We really appreciated the time we were able to spend with them during their short time in Utah.

Maggie's Blessing

We blessed Maggie last Sunday (February 5). It was a wonderful day, filled with the Spirit and family. I spent a few days last week reflecting on the past couple of months. I was amazed by the numerous lessons & reminders about the Lord's love & His hand in my life. Topics I have been studying in the scriptures for the last four months really came together last month. And I can't count the number of times I have been reminded just how involved the Lord is in my life & of His love for me. I know Maggie's sweet spirit helped invite those lessons & reminders.

Brendon gave Maggie a beautiful blessing. Among other things, Maggie was blessed to understand her divine identity & to be a light to others. She is already a light to our family. I love her sweet spirit. She already seems to have a lot of patience and a happy countenance.

We were so grateful for the family that was able to join us in celebration of Maggie. Grandpa Russell flew in from California & spent the weekend with us. It was a treat to have him here, especially for Henry. Brendon's brothers, Garen & Cody, live in Utah along with Brendon's aunt, Lori. I love the Holmes family & was grateful to have some of them here with us. My family was here, of course, & I enjoyed spending the day with them.

Man, I love family. I love my Gibson family, my Holmes family, & my little family. Reflecting on the last couple months has been another one of my "earth-life-is-so-cool" moments.
